Make your fears work for you

Fear is a formidable enemy that stops many aspiring entrepreneurs from starting their businesses.

But fear can be a positive or negative experience, depending on what you are scared of. The decisions that you make are determined by the kind of fear you have.

Say you have a business idea but you are scared of failure. You won't be able to start anything until you change the way you think. If you are used to thinking you will fail, do away with that fear.

Fear that keeps you from achieving your dreams is negative, but positive fear can drive you to do something rewarding.

Lets say you work for someone, but you can't stop yourself from thinking that he will one day fire you. You can't stop thinking he might one day run the company into the ground. This interferes with the decisions you make. You want to buy that car but you can't because you are not sure how long you are going to be able to keep that job and manage to pay for your car.

What this means is that your livelihood and security is dependent on that person. If this fear of being fired when you need your job most drives you into starting your own business, it can be seen as positive fear.

It is positive in the sense that it sets you free from the fear of being fired and losing your income.

Therefore, if you have an idea for something that could be interesting and more lucrative, why not go for it rather than live in constant fear of being fired or not knowing what is going to happen next.

You have to do away with all kinds of fear so that you can make your dreams come true.
