Armless robbery

We are loath to poke fun at other people's misfortune. But we think it would not be entirely inappropriate to succumb to the urge to let out a chuckle from time to time when bad people are hoist by their own petard.

We are loath to poke fun at other people's misfortune. But we think it would not be entirely inappropriate to succumb to the urge to let out a chuckle from time to time when bad people are hoist by their own petard.

Take the case of the robber who blew off both his arms with explosives trying to steal money from an ATM in Johannesburg on Saturday.

Honestly now, how many of you shed a tear for the luckless bomber losing two perfectly functioning limbs, leaving him unable to bomb another ATM or hug a woman?

Be warned though: knowing the ingenuity of thugs, it might not be long before they invent smart bombs that do not require users to have arms.
