The announcement by Irvin Khoza that SuperSport has won the rights to broadcast PSL matches for five years is a blow to ordinary South Africans who only have access to the SABC and e.tv.

Most soccer followers do not own satellite dishes and can only afford to watch SABC. For the PSL to receive R1 billion in five years is a milestone and the SABC should have paid up. They should not have taken the PSL to court.

Dali Mpofu has failed the masses and should step aside before it's too late. The SABC has the capacity to give football its own channel but still they fail. Instead of giving the PSL the money they want, the SABC runs to the courts and cries foul.

If Khoza really lives in Soweto, then he would know that most of the households can only afford SABC.

Is SuperSport going to give us a free soccer channel or are they happy to broadcast the matches to only the few who own satellite dishes? Now it seems we won't even watch soccer on TV because of the SABC and Khoza and Friends.

Please Butana Khompela, this is where you need to interfere and show your muscle.
