Only Africa can sort out Zim

Zimbabwe's crisis is a true test for Africa's leaders. It is a test for Nepad, the SADC and the AU because the objectives of these groups is to prevent what is happening in Zimbabwe.

Condemning Robert Mugabe is not a solution to the economical and political tailspin in Zimbabwe. Only collective and intellectual engagements by African leaders to find solutions for Zimbabwe will help. It is important that such engagements result in immediate action.

Western neocolonialists hope that Zimbabwe sinks deeper into trouble so as to make their interventions inevitable. People who chastise Mugabe's regime for violating human rights must know that the fragile situation demands strict rules and control to keep law order.

As for Westerners, they must keep quiet and deal with the human rights violations of the poor Iraqis.

We know very well that the Zimbabwean crisis is positively linked to colonisation, but those who ignore history and blindly embrace mental slavery will continue analysing the situation with skewed judgment.
