Dishonest DA speaks with forked tongue

Well-paid health workers and teachers are more valuable to South Africa than over-paid politicians.

Well-paid health workers and teachers are more valuable to South Africa than over-paid politicians.

Before the current strike, the DA stated teachers did not deserve a 12percent increase. Now the party is saying that striking health workers must be dismissed.

Ironically, however, DA spokesmen have never said anything about the serving 'honourable' members of parliament, who were convicted of defrauding that institution and the taxpayers of millions of rands.

Perhaps it is because the party had no control over one or two of the convicted fraudsters, who were members of the DA at the time the crimes were committed.

The DA, of course, also initiated the trend which allowed cheating politicians to cross the floor. Although the party now maintains that the practice is immoral, it has stated that in September it will continue to accept the betraying 'crosstitutes' in its ranks.

Since the strike began, politicians have surely become aware of the fact that most taxpayers are now of the opinion that well-paid, satisfied health workers, teachers and policemen and policewomen are very valuable.

They surely realise that this sector is more valuable to South Africa than the many avaricious over-paid, well-protected politicians, who seemingly are always clamouring for more and more to enrich themselves.
