The Afro Tenors, accompanied by a band and orchestra, will be the curtain-raisers of this yearly celebration of jazz. The concept has in the past six years been used successfully as a platform to launch the careers of numerous musicians.

June 8 marks an important day for this concept.

Kenny Nkwashu will host this "mature party" slot live at the venue - he will also play old school tunes. The show will be broadcast live.

The Birchwood Hotel will offer music lovers special rates because this is the sixth anniversary celebration of the initiative.
