The Limpopo department of environmental affairs has deployed a squad of law enforcement officials to crack down on polluters and wildlife poachers.

Collins Chabane, the MEC for tourism and environmental affairs, said the 13 Green Scorpions would act to support the province's programme to halt poaching, protect endangered species and prevent degradation of the environment which is being sponsored by the Danish International Development Agency to the tune of R1million.

Chabane said the officials had been specially trained for their tasks. - Chester Makana
