monorail UPDATE

The proposed monorail, which was announced by two Gauteng MECs last month, will be put on hold until the necessary processes have taken place. This was resolved in a meeting of national government, the Gauteng provincial government and the City of Johannesburg. Gauteng Roads and Works MEC Ignatius Jacobs said they noted the minister's position that the proposal could not be supported in its current form, but that government was not opposed to the monorail. - BuaNews
