Blood could be shed at Orlando Communal Hall in Soweto on June 15 in at least three of the fights on the eight-bout programme that will be promoted by Peoples Boxing Promotions.

Peter Mashamaite and William Gare will top the bill. Mashamaite's South African super middleweight title will be at stake.

Trainer Nick Durandt has already warned that Mashamaite, who ended the illustrious career of Mpush Makambi with a fifth-round stoppage in February, could do the same to Gare.

But the latter, a former SA and WBC International junior middleweight champion who boasts enormous skills, threatened to come out raging like a bull.

That has set the tone for a "war".

Fight fans could also be on the edge of their seats in the match-ups between Lumkile November and Thabo Mashishi, as well as the one between Schoeman Sindane and Danile Botman.

But November is believed to have taken the wrong fight. Granted, he has to prove himself at some stage but swimming against the tide is not a wise move to prove his mettle.

Mashishi matched Lucky Lewele pound-for-pound for four energy-sapping rounds in September last year before running out of steam in the fifth round.

They fought for the SA welterweight title.

Meanwhile, both Sindane and Botman should give their all in what could be termed as their last dance before Boxing SA revokes their licencses. Their careers are waning.

Sindane has only three wins against seven losses and a draw while Botman's record reads 12 wins, 13 losses and a draw.

Similar match-ups ended up being bloodbaths.
