An interim interdict that stopped industrial action at Vodacom in March was lifted by the Johannesburg labour court yesterday, the Communication Workers Union said.

Union spokesman Mfanafuthi Sithebe said: "In his judgment against Vodacom, Judge MH Rampai affirmed the right to strike and called Vodacom's behaviour a "pernicious practice".

The union and the giant cellphone company had a recognition dispute. - S apa
