Alleged killer hands himself over to the police
The man who allegedly shot dead his former lover and South West Gauteng College lecturer Nana Monametsa has handed himself over to the Diepkloof, Soweto, police.
Monametsa, 49, was shot dead at her home in Diepkloof Extension last week.
Captain Phillemon Khorombi said the man had not been charged and would probably appear in the Protea magistrates' court today.
The man allegedly attacked Monametsa while she was with her domestic worker in the garage of her home.
The man allegedly produced a firearm and shot Monametsa several times as she tried to flee into the house.
The domestic worker managed to escape unharmed.
"Nine spent cartridges were found near Monametsa's body," said Clement Mahlangu, a family spokesman.
