A Mpumalanga family who were threatening to sue a funeral undertaker after their daughter's body was allegedly mutilated at a mortuary, hopes to get an explanation from the undertaker tomorrow.

The Malaza family reported that the body of their daughter, Sophie, 32, of Boiketlo, Bushbuckridge, who died two weeks ago, was taken to the Wisani Burial Society with her body intact, but was returned with one eye missing.

The undertaker rejected the family's claim.

Following a meeting with the family, the undertaker agreed to give an explanation tomorrow.
