Benoni Premier United need to win against Golden Arrows tomorrow to avoid featuring in the dreaded Mvela Golden League Platinum playoffs.
If they achieve that, then it means AmaZulu will be the ones taking part in the playoffs by virtue of finishing 15th on the Castle Premiership log.
Usuthu travel to the Mother City on the same day for a date with the youthful Ajax Cape Town at Athlone Stadium.
The clash between Arrows and United is scheduled for King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi. Both matches start at 3.15pm, in the spirit of fair play.
United and Usuthu have 29 points each with one match to complete the 2006-07 soccer season. But the Rabbits have a superior goal difference.
The Daveyton-based side will still survive in the event of the two sides losing. AmaZulu will not face the prospect of relegation if they win and United lose.
Both matches will be live on national television.
Simon Ngobeni, United's general manager, said: "It is unfortunate that we find ourselves in this kind of situation but we are confident that we'll survive.
"The playoffs are not a nice thing, we have been in the playoffs in the last three consecutive seasons and are going all out for a win.
"It will be a tough game against Golden Arrows, especially after their weekend defeat by Orlando Pirates in Johannesburg.
"We are not relying on favours from anybody, we have been training hard and are going out to KwaZulu-Natal to do it for ourselves.
"Everybody in the team is well aware about the importance of this match, " said Ngobeni.
Papi Zothwane, Arrows' midfield magician, said they were determined to end the season with a bang by winning the match.
Players to watch are Zothwane, Mabhuti Khenyeza and Vusi Vilakazi (Arrows), Tsepo Masilela, Bernard Parker and Katleho Loke (United).
Back to the Ajax-AmaZulu clash, Usuthu operations manager James Dlamini said they were fired up for a win.
Thabiso Mekuto, Ajax's public relations officer, said they will use the game to sharpen themselves for next Saturday's Absa Cup final against Mamelodi Sundowns in Durban.
The spotlight in this game will be on youngsters Clifford Ngobeni of Ajax and Lucky Mzizi of AmaZulu.
The team that finishes 15th on the log will join Winnerspark, City Pillars and Tukkies in the playoffs to decide who will gain promotion to the Castle Premiership.
Free State Stars have already gained promotion automatically by winning the First Division League title.
Meanwhile, First Division clubs have recommended to the Premier Soccer League executive to do away with the playoff system, meaning the First Division winners and runners-up would be automatically promoted.
That would mean the last two clubs on the Premiership log would be relegated.
