Developers who failed to complete 8495 low-cost houses in Limpopo have lost their contracts. Provincial local government and housing MEC Maite Nkoana-Mashabane said that her department had now turned to large firms to complete the houses. She said that the new contractors were four large consortiums.

"We will continue to help emerging contractors gain necessary skills through our Sikhasonke programme."
