The party said the probe was "shaking the roots of social unity".
Mathews Ndlovu, SACP district secretary, said yesterday the party had organised a protest march on Saturday to the NPA's offices in Pietermaritzburg.
"We feel that the investigations against Zuma are politically motivated.
"Otherwise, why would the NPA be investigating him for so long," said Ndlovu.
The planned march would also be used to demand that the NPA reopen the inquest into the assassination of the SACP's former general secretary, Chris Hani, in 1993. - Canaan Mdletshe
