Why not give teachers, nurses and the police an increase. These vital sectors have been forced to consider striking to get their salaries increased.
If there is so much money in the state coffers then why do they have to strike? Why is there no money to pay teachers, nurses and police decent salaries?
Why do they have to strike before they get extra money?
It is not hard to do a couple of calculations here. If there was an over recovery of tax money nine months ago, what happened to the money? Was it spent? If yes, on what?
Few would object to paying tax if the money was spent efficiently on growing the economy and creating jobs.
But many question whether this is where our tax money is actually being spent.
