Family and friends joined colleagues at the SABC studios to bid farewell to actress Lindiwe Chibi - Doobsie of the popular SABC2 soapie Muvhango.
Actor Mpho Tsedu, who played her husband on the show, said: "The bond I had with Lindi was very special."
Generations actress Winnie Ntshaba said Lindiwe had "sowed love in our hearts, and we are happy to celebrate her life and love".
During the ceremony, family members and friends broke down in tears when Chibi's scenes from Muvhango were screened.
Chibi will be buried at the Westpark Cemetery on Thursday.
The funeral service will be held at the University of Johannesburg, formerly Vista University, in Pimville, Soweto, starting at 8am.
