Schoemansdal Junior Aces beat Driekopies Stars 2-0 to book a place in the final of the lucrative Selati Super Cup.

A brace by Musa "Sapula" Mathaba in each half was enough to put Aces in line to win R30000, a trip to watch the Vodacom Challenge cup final and a weekend away, which is the prize for the champions.

Douglas Shongwe, Aces' coach, said he was very proud of his boys.

"They have been marvelous to watch the whole tournament.

"Thinking that there were about 100 teams who took part when the tournament started, to reach this stage is unbelievable," said Shongwe.

"I hope the boys will offer the same commitment on the final day because it will be a disappointment to go all the way and crumble on the last day."

Aces will play against Mangweni Manchester, who narrowly beat KNP Mighty Lions 2-1 in the other semifinal.

Kenneth Phiri, community liaison officer for TSB, which is the main sponsor, said: "The tournament went smoothly from the beginning.

"I'm very excited about the way the tournament is organised, the players' commitment and the way supporters behaved.

"The standard of play is high and to date there are 535 goals scored in 100 games."

The prize for the runners-up is R20 000, third prize is R10000 and fourth prize R7 500.

The finals will be staged on June 2 at Kamhlushwa stadium.
