A woman was allegedly dragged off a Putco bus by the driver for refusing to move to the back.

Agnes Shuma, of Thembalihle, near Lenasia in Johannesburg, said the bus was in motion and she was afraid she would hurt herself.

Shuma said she hurt her knees and lost her cellphone during the alleged assault a month ago.

The driver allegedly drives past her bus stop unless there are other people and refuses her access .

"I have to wait until a later bus arrives and I am left there all by myself," Shuma said.

Putco boss Amin Maharaj said: "We are still waiting for an affidavit from her but there will be a disciplinary hearing."

He said the driver was taken off the shift. - Kamogelo Seekoei
