The Bakubung tribe in North West have renewed hope they will get all their land back.
The Batswana peoples are among many black communities forcibly removed from their land in 1966 during the apartheid era.
They have since scattered around the country, with the majority settled in Gauteng.
According to Esau Moloko of the tribe's communal property association, they have already received 25percent of the land.
"There are only minor glitches left for us to overcome to get back all our land.
"The land claims commission is working on the matter with white farmers who still occupy the land," Moloko said.
Their area is at Molote, an agricultural stretch of land 40km west of Magaliesberg.
Moloko said there would be a meeting tomorrow to be addressed by the tribe's elders and the Commission on Restitution of Land Rights.
The meeting would be held at the community hall in Molote between 11am and 2pm.
Issues to the discussed would include the progress report on land claims, the Bakubung beneficiaries register, the Molote reconstruction and development plan and investment opportunities for the tribe.
Moloko asked people who will attend to bring certified copies of identity documents, death certificates for those who have died and birth certificates.
He said their vision for the land was to continue with agricultural projects as at present. They were looking at skills development to fulfil their vision.
