The man accused of shooting former Muvhango star Lindiwe Chibi, aka Doobsie, is back at Johannesburg Prison awaiting trial.

He was sent there last Friday after spending time at Sterkfontein Psychiatric Hospital as a patient.

Daniel Mokoena, 38, pleaded insanity at the Protea magistrates' court in March last year. Magistrate A Auret agreed to send him for observation, but because the hospital did not have enough beds at the time, he was only admitted later.

Prosecutor Joanne Scholtz confirmed yesterday that Mokoena was at Johannesburg Prison. She said he was facing charges which included attempted murder, robbery, pointing a firearm, culpable homicide and illegal possesion of a firearm.

Mokoeana was arrested in April 2005. He is expected to appear in court on August 16.
