The curtain falls on the 2006-07 Limpopo LimDev Super League season at Seshego diamonds on Sunday and Mahwelereng Spikes still remain the bookies' firm favourites to defend their title.

Spikes, however, face an enormous task to achieve this feat as they face the equally capable Seleteng Giant Killers in their last match of the day.

Their tie, which has all the ingredients of a thriller, pitches off at 3pm. But Spikes go into this encounter buoyed after they hammered Killers 7-0 in the first round.

Killers, mentored by the provincial men's head coach Sello "Zoro" Rampedi, are second on the log but their chances of dethroning Spikes of their title look remote.

Rampedi proved his technical and tactical know-how when he led Limpopo to glory in Softball South Africa's national championships in Polokwane in March.

Lions will also have a date with mid-table club Mamaolo Rebels at 1pm.
