Stratos Mnguni, manager of Mpumalanga Vodacom League champions Black Aces, is optimistic that there will be two teams from the province campaigning in the National First Division (NFD) next season.
He was speaking ahead of the national playoffs to determine the two teams to be promoted to the NFD, which are set for QwaQwa in Free State from May 21 to 27.
Mnguni said: "We are geared up for the challenge ahead of us.
"Our preparations are of a high standard. The boys are training hard and are determined to win the playoffs and play in the NFD next season."
Witbank Spurs are the only team from Mpumalanga campaigning in the National First Division.
Asked if they knew anything about their opponents, Mnguni said they were not worried about them.
"We will take the players that saw us winning the league - there will will be no additions to our present players in the near future."
Mnguni has called on people of Mpumalanga to rally behind the team.
Other provincial champions going to QwaQwa include Lion City (Eastern Cape), African Warriors (Free State), Yebo Yes (Gauteng), Abaqulisi (KwaZulu-Natal), Mokopane (Limpopo), Kakamas Cosmos (Northern Cape), Madibogo Blizzards (North West) and Hanover Park (Western Cape).
Women: City Lads (Eastern Cape), Kutlwanong (Free State), Palace Super Falcon (Gauteng), Durban (KwaZulu-Natal), Brazilians (Limpopo), Flamingo (Mpumalanga), Crusaders (Northern Cape), Hallelujah Zebra Force (North West) and Spurs WFC (Western Cape).
