The new eNatis system has been giving motorists and driver's licence applicants in Gauteng headaches.

The system has since its installation gone off-line many times daily, leaving applicants angry.

Backlogs, technical glitches and shaky, slow systems have been reported at testing stations throughout the country since the eNatis system was introduced last month.

Long queues at traffic departments and people leaving without having achieved anything have become the order of the day.

At one stage people were advised not to go to traffic departments at all because the system was not working.
