Public fed up with eNatis

The public has had it with the Electronic National Traffic Information System (eNatis).

They are now asking for the system to be scrapped. Irate drivers said yesterday they were tired of queuing at testing stations just to be told that the system was down.

Yesterday, the Department of Transport closed traffic stations around the country to install new computer servers.

The servers are being installed to tackle problems related to eNatis.

The only people who could get help at the stations were those who came to collect their drivers' licences.

"People should not go to the traffic stations until after lunch," said transport department spokesman Colin Msibi.

Msibi said the morning would be used to install new servers.
