Transport Minister Jeff Radebe briefed the Cabinet about the problems following the introduction of eNatis last month, government spokesman Themba Maseko said yesterday.

He said consultants and specialists were working to "identify and address all the hiccups.

It is important to note that the problems are taking place at certain points of service in specific areas around the country."

Backlogs, technical glitches and shaky, slow systems have been reported at testing stations throughout the country.

Maseko said the system was already performing 55000 transactions an hour, more than the 35000 the old system was able to handle. He said the system would bring great benefits to both the public and the authorities in the long term. - Sapa
