Police spokesman Captain Jackson Manatha said Andrew Jonson, the owner of Welcome Store and Cafe, was attacked by three people and "he was shot when one of them fired three shots".
"They then robbed him of an undisclosed amount of money and drove off in his white Isuzu van with registration, DFN 783 EC," he said.
