A couple has been arrested after the discovery of the body of a Ngcobo teacher yesterday, Eastern Cape police said.

A couple has been arrested after the discovery of the body of a Ngcobo teacher yesterday, Eastern Cape police said.

"The 28-year-old suspect and his 19-year-old girlfriend led police to Ndabakazi forest, Butterworth, where the body of the deceased was found," said Captain Jackson Manatha.

Christian Mdaka's tie and scarf were found at the scene.

The couple allegedly hijacked Mdaka in Tsomo on Thursday while he was waiting for his wife.

They allegedly stuffed him into the boot of a car and drove to Butterworth, where he was found dead.

Police arrested the man after he was found driving Mdaka's car. - Sapa
