Too much negativity in SA

My heart almost stopped on Wednesday when Sowetan's advert on Freedom Day was flighted on 702. I found it offensive and abusive.

My heart almost stopped on Wednesday when Sowetan's advert on Freedom Day was flighted on 702. I found it offensive and abusive.

It's no wonder there is so much negativity in the country when people in a position of power, with access to so many people, sow the seeds of fear and negativity in such an offensive way.

The only reason why I listened to the whole advert was to find out which company thought such vitriolic hatred would solve the problems of our beautiful country and what on earth they could be advertising.

I found it even more offensive that it is presented in the style of the great Martin Luther King!

No matter who your higher being is, we are told "ask and you shall receive".

So if we continually talk about "fighting crime", "speed kills" and "people opposed to women abuse" that is what we will get - "fighting", "crime" and "women abuse".

Look at all the negative things we are attracting just by using such negative words in our lives.

Why not be positive to attract the positive side of things. Say "securing the safety of our people", use "drive alive" without the negative element attached and "people working for the safety and self-esteem of women and children".

Positive energy is so much more powerful than negative energy. Let us use that to change our country!
