Three people died when their car collided with a truck on the N6 between Rouxville and Aliwal North in southern Free State, police said yesterday.

Inspector Harry Nagel said Leonard Nzula, Bongani Mbangula and Morapetlane Mashoai died when the two vehicles collided on Friday afternoon.

"A woman travelling with them was admitted to the Pelonomi Hospital in Bloemfontein," Nagel said.

The four occupants of the BMW are believed to be employees of the Mahokare municipality in Zastron.

The accident allegedly happened when the driver of the BMW lost control and veered across the road.

"It seems the driver collided with the truck after he lost control and tried to get his car back on to the road," Nagel said.
