KwaZulu-Natal director-general, Mandla Mchunu is stepping down from his position.
Mchunu, a former PSL chief executive officer, would vacate his office on 30 June. He has held the post since 2004.
Premier S'bu Ndebele said yesterday that, though Mchunu would no longer serve in his cabinet, he would continue managing several strategic projects in the office of the premier.
"Mchunu laid a strong foundation on which to build a better and more effective public service in the province," said Ndebele. Mchunu said he was honoured to work in the province. - Canaan Mdletshe
