Mamelodi Sundowns could be handed their Castle Premiership trophy as early as tomorrow night.

They play Silver Stars in a Castle Premiership clash at the Royal Bafokeng stadium. Kickoff is at 7.30pm.

The Brazilians became the official champions after Orlando Pirates were held to a goalless draw by Ajax Cape Town at the weekend. The Buccaneers were the only team that could reach catch Sundowns on 56 points but had a far inferior goal difference.

"The decision will be Sundowns'," said Premier Soccer League general manager Andrew Dipela. "I will be meeting them tomorrow [today] to find out if they want to wait until May 16, when they play Jomo Cosmos at home, or if they are comfortable receiving the trophy at an away game."

The Stars -Sundowns game is one of only two midweek fixtures. Fate has decided that the two teams meet again in seven days after they drew each other for the Absa Cup semifinal.

Sundowns were initially eyeing a CAF Champions League, Absa Cup and league treble. They could still win a treble but the Champions League has been replaced by the Confederation Cup after they were knocked out by Al-Ahly of Egypt in the third round of the lucrative continental competition.

The full fixtures are:

Tomorrow - Loftus: SuperSport v Black Leopards (7.30pm), Phokeng: Silver Stars v Sundowns (7.30pm).

Friday - Milpark: Bidvest Wits v Benoni Premier United (8pm).
