Maruping Oupa Monyane, a teacher from Dieketseng Primary School in Meloding, Virginia, died from severe injuries sustained in a horrific car accident on April 2.
He was born on June 11 1967 in Meloding, Virginia.
Monyane believed education is the key to success. This was evident when he continued to further his own education.
After graduating with a Primary Teacher's Diploma at Sefikeng College of Education in QwaQwa, Monyane went on to complete an Advanced Certificate in Education at the University of the Free State last year.
At the time of his death he was studying towards a Diploma in Information Technology with the Central University of Technology in Welkom.
He wanted his pupils to follow in his footsteps and he led by example.
A sports fanatic who loved Orlando Pirates' Football Club, Monyane was a basketball and a cricket coach at Dieketseng Primary School.
One of his pupils was selected to take part in the national basketball tournament for primary schools in East London last year.
Monyane had a beautiful soul.
He was always humble, even when faced with great adversity.
People loved him for his warm-heartedness and virtually nothing could wipe a smile off his face.
Monyane will be buried tomorrow in Virginia, Free State.
He is survived by his wife, Matshediso, his father and siblings.
