The biggest music awards ceremony in the country, the Samas, takes place at the Sun City Superbowl tomorrow.

Jokes involving the top nominees are everywhere.

Ukhozi FM's B&S Breakfast show, hosted by high- flying DJ S'bu Leope and Sbonga Zungu, lead in the Samas' anecdotes. It was fun listening to these two.

Those at the mercy of the jokes are Kabelo "Bouga Luv" Mabalane, top producer and talent scout DJ Cleo, celebrated rap group Skwatta Kamp and Kelly Khumalo.

According to S'bu's mean jokes, Kabelo now spends eight hours a day in the gym trying to develop his muscles for the big day.

He won' t travel to Sun City in one of his luxurious cars. He will run there and arrive in a vest to show off his bulging muscles.

You see, since he came clean from some substance abuse he has made friends with the gym. Last year he completed the tough Comrades Marathon.

DJ Cleo, besides having made a wonder of the career of Brickz, is well-known for his outrageous hairstyle. According to the show, he was seen at Mr Price fitting on suits to complement his painted blond hair.

And at the end of this shopping spree, he is said to have been left holding paint rather than the suit. The reason was that he had less money than the suit cost.

Rumour has it that he will pitch up at the Samas with a chauffeur because he does not want to be involved in an accident like last year.

Skwatta Kamp were apparently seen in overalls with "Not Guilty" written on them. But the question is: Not guilty of what?
