A massive four-day stock-disposal auction, called "Operation Clean Up" by Aucor, will be held in three provinces on behalf of Holcim, the Swiss building, construction and civil engineering giant.

On Monday in Witbank it will be dumpers, Symons and conveyor frames, wheel bogies for trailers, trucks, earthmoving machines, and sundry stock under the hammer.

The following day, in Olifantsfontein and Roodekrans, bidders can look forward to the sale of a 5000t crushing plant, a Liebherr 974B faceshovel, an Eaton 4600 hydraulic pump and a Terex dump truck.

On the third day the auction activity shifts to Newcastle, where Aucor will dispose of an Atlas Copco drill rig, a Cat 235 faceshovel and several other items.

The four-day auction will be wrapped up on Thursday when two Huyndai front-end loaders and a Cat loader come under the hammer in Pietermaritzburg and Coedmore.

Other Aucor auctions next week deserve the attention of avid bidders and other "alternative shoppers".

On Tuesday, for instance, Aucor South, the company's Western Cape and Eastern Cape branches, will hold a repossession and liquidation auction in Port Elizabeth. Cars, including a 2006 Toyota Corolla Verso, a Citroen Sxara 1.6 and a BMW 740i will go to the highest bidders. A wide range of 4x4s, commercial vehicles, trailers and a scooter will be sold at the same auction.

On Thursday Aucor Corporate will hold a truck-fleet sale on behalf of Clover, in Heilbron. Mechanical horses, trailers, refrigerated and dropside trucks, cars, LDVs, and forklifts will all go at the fall of the hammer.

In Cape Town Aucor South will sell the entire contents of a coffee shop at a repossession and liquidation auction.

Aucor's auction will end on Friday in Bloemfontein when a plot in Kelley's View comes under the hammer.
