Kaizer Chiefs injury-prone goalkeeper Emile Baron escaped with a minor injury when he crashed into the perimeter wall of Sowetan premises in the early hours of Saturday morning.

It is believed Baron failed to negotiate a notorious curve outside Sowetan offices in Industria West.

Baron could not be reached for comment yesterday.

Chiefs manager Bobby Motaung confirmed the accident, but said Baron, whose contract with Amakhosi expires in December, was not badly hurt. Baron has been inactive due to injury for eight months. - Simon Nare
