Creecy to update Soweto residents

Gauteng MEC for sports and recreation, Barbara Creecy, will use Monday's Youth Easter Sports Tournamentat Protea Glen to update Sowetans on the 2010 World Cup preparations.

Gauteng MEC for sports and recreation, Barbara Creecy, will use Monday's Youth Easter Sports Tournamentat Protea Glen to update Sowetans on the 2010 World Cup preparations.

Creecy, also known as "Sibongile",will be one of the dignitaries at the tournament.

The City of Johannesburg Region D will also use the tournament to launch a multi-purpose sports centre.

Jabu Mhlangu, head of sports and culture in ward 13, has urged the residents of Protea Glen to join them in the opening of the facility and support the tournament.

"We will be playing soccer, volleyball, netball, cricket, touch rugby and athletics during the tournament and there will be prizes for best performers." - Ramatsiyi Moholoa
