Giant cellular phone company Cell C have come on board to finance the yearly Dona's Mates Easter Development Soccer Tournament.
It will be played at Orange Farm Extension 8A sports grounds, which is also used by the host club, Dona's Mates Football Club, for their games.
James "Maradona" Shabangu, the tournament's director, said: "We are delighted that corporate South Africa is beginning to show interest in our activities.
"We are going to have five categories during the tournament to ensure that the majority of the local community and surrounding areas is catered for.
"The categories will be seniors, Under-17s, -15s, -13s and women. Registrations for the seniors is R850, Under-17s and women R500, Under-15s R400 and R300 for the Under-13s.
"The competition is open to all clubs and will help to gauge our standard. Registration will be on a first come first served basis.
"We are expecting 16 clubs to take part in the seniors' section and eight in all the others," said Shabangu, who is also a member of the Orange Farm Sports Forum.
"Clubs that would like to take part can call me on 082-743-7672."
