Cream of SA on display

The cream of South Africa's budding soccer stars will be on display Mpumalanga lead to Thulamahashe Stadium in Bushbuckridge this weekend.

This is where the 2006-07 Metropolotan Under-19 regional playoffs will be taking place.

Tony Motha, Metropolitan Nelspruit area manager, said: "Our aim in being involved in such a tournament is to develop budding talent and feed the junior South African teams and senior team with already identified talent.

"The tournament started in Ehlanzeni with four out of the five local football associations (LFAs) taking part.

"This year's we are pleased to note that all the LFA'S has taken part and we want to grow it from there," said Motha.

Safa Ehlanzeni secretary Brainz Zulu said everything has been sorted out.

"We are waiting for the other regional teams to descend, our job is completely done," he said.

"Thanks to the Bushbuckridge municipality, the LFAs, and everybody who assisted to make the tournament possible."

The three regional champions that will be competing are Bhunu High School from Ehlanzeni, Alas Vegas FC from Nkangala and Inspection FC from Gert Sibande.
