Snoop denied UK visa, might miss London gig

Hip-hop star Snoop Dogg's UK appearances with pal Sean "Diddy" Combs have been jeopardised after the star was denied a visa to enter Britain.

Hip-hop star Snoop Dogg's UK appearances with pal Sean "Diddy" Combs have been jeopardised after the star was denied a visa to enter Britain.

The rapper, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, is currently touring Europe with Combs, and the pair are slated to perform five dates in the country this week.

Tour bosses have admitted they are confused by the authorities' decision to prevent Snoop from entering the UK, and hope the issue can be resolved as soon as possible.

A representative for the tour says: "Snoop and his team are mystified at the decision and are hoping the British government will reconsider it, especially as he has toured here before and sees the UK as being the highlight of the tour.

"He has asked how he can help rectify the situation and would happily talk to and give assurances to officials."

A spokesman from the UK's foreign and commonwealth office refused to comment on the visa problems, saying: "We would never comment on visa applications by individuals."

Tomorrow's gig at Wembley Arena will go ahead. - Wenn
