Superintendent Ailwei Mushavhanamadi said a 46-year-old man was shot and killed in a street after an alleged altercation with the younger man about the older man's daughter.
"The 25-year-old man allegedly shot and killed the other man on March 7 after he had refused him access to his daughter.
"The older man had alleged that the younger had raped his daughter," he said.
The suspect was arrested at the weekend in Luvhimbi outside Thohoyandou on a charge of murder.
Mushavhanamadi said the man had threatened other people and had fired shots into the air to drive home his threats. - Sapa
