The Under-23 national soccer side will go for an early goal in their return Beijing Olympics qualifier against Uganda in Kampala tomorrow.
"We need to go for the kill from the first whistle to get an early goal," said player Sibusiso Hadebe yesterday. "At the same time, we need to tighten up our defence.
"It will be a tough one. The Ugandans have been in camp for almost a month. We cannot afford to let this one slip. This is the last hurdle for us to qualify for the group stages."
South Africa, who arrived in Kampala on Wednesday night, enjoy a 2-0 lead from the first leg on February 7.
Barney Kujane, the team's project director, said Masilo Modubi and Jeffrey Ntuka were back in training after minor knocks.
South Africa coach Steve Komphela and his lieutenants took the boys for a light session at Mandela Stadium yesterday.
"We covered almost everything back home, we are doing the basics at training here to maintain shape. We are trying to avoid Ugandan spies," said Komphela.
Uganda coach Jackson Mayanja said it is the end of the line for South Africa . Mayanja is delighted that his chief striker, Egypt-based Geoffrey Massa, has recovered from injury.
Kick-off is at 2.30pm SA time.
