Ntangakayise "Ntanga" Hleza was a special person to his parents.

Apart from being their 11th and last born, he shared a special bond with his father. They were even born on the same day.

Hleza died on Saturday after a short illness.

Ntanga, as he was affectionately known, had unique traits as a brother, a father, a colleague and a community leader.

The affect his life had on others was this week measured by the number of people who visited his home on hearing about his passing.

Known in the community for his love of life, Hleza created a circle of friends beyond the colour divide and became a source of inspiration and a cementing element in the relationships he shared with all who knew him.

Hleza started primary school at Phuti Lower Primary School, moving to Belle Higher Primary School and matriculated from Orlando West High School.

After completing his high school education Hleza worked for several companies before joining Tiger Milling Inland.

A staunch member of the AME Africa, he held several positions in the church.

He worked for the church tirelessly until his untimely death.

At circuit level he was the secretary of the Evangelical movement, and at district level he was director of communications and public relations .

He was the director of property and development at national level in the church.

He also served as the director of Ameca, the business wing of the church.

He will be remembered by those who knew him as a selfless person who dedicated his life beyond the demands and needs of his family.

He is survived by his only sister and his children.
