Farming equipment under the hammer

A large selection of farm equipment, including several cars and motorcycles, will come under the hammer in Sannieshof in North West on Tuesday.

"Aucor has always had a solid presence in the agricultural sector, which is why we are privileged to help with shutting down the operations of this family farm," said Dewald van der Nest, an agent with the long-standing auction company.

"We are keenly interested in marking the discontinuation of this business by maximising the returns for our client and providing buyers with the opportunity to purchase used machinery, equipment and cars, as well as motorcycles, that has been well looked after."

Buyers can look forward to a wide range of equipment, including combine harvesters, tippers, trailers, combine harvester diesel vehicles, milk trucks, ploughs, planters, rippers and balers.

"Whatever is needed to help with the successful running of a farm," Van der Nest said, "can be found under the lot list of this auction."

Apart from small items, such as spare parts for pumps and engines, there are irrigation pipes, old engines and lawn mowers. Buyers interested in bigger machinery should definitely not miss out on this auction.

On offer are Caterpillar and Massey Ferguson TLBs, Isuzu, Ford, Toyota, and Mercedes rigid trucks and mechanical horses, Landini, Ford, Massey Ferguson, Fiat and Case tractors, Colt, Mazda, and Nissan LDVs and 4X4s, and several motorcycles.

Other auctions next week include:

l Tuesday March 27: Durban and Port Elizabeth.

l Wednesday March28: Cape Town and Durban.

l Thursday March29: Cape Town and Midrand.

l Friday March30: Port Elizabeth and Midrand.
