There are many problems that have led to the high levels of teenage pregnancy in our country, including a lack of guidance for boy pupils and the music industry.
Truly speaking, current artists are destroying our youth. Gone are the days when artists used to produce music that helped to fight apartheid. Songs such as Sister Bettina are not helping the situation at all. Instead, they are corrupting the innocent minds of our young people.
Young people must respect their parents, heed their parents' advice and to go to church for spiritual guidance. If the youth does this, I have no doubt that their conscience will guide them.
Young people should know that whatever they do, they represent their family, their church and their community.
To the churches I say, this is another struggle that we have to fight, just like we fought the struggle against apartheid.
The education department must have moral regeneration workshops, especially for the boys so that the youngsters will know how to conduct themselves in society.
Or perhaps we should write to Zola 7 to provide us with the solution.
