Whenever traditional Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs clash, be it in a league, cup or friendly game anywhere, the stadium is guaranteed a full house.

The Reserve League encounter between the two at the Eldorado Stadium today at 4pm is expected to be no different. Entrance is free.

Supporters from both sides, especially the youth, will flock to the stadium to cheer their heroes on.

Though the reserve league was initially meant to give injured or unfit players game time to recover or regain their fitness or form, some of the teams field 80 percent of their regular players.

That is how serious these teams take the league while others approach it like a development vehicle for the academy teams.

Some of the senior players who have featured in the league so far include Pirates' Gift Leremi, Gary McNab, Tony Coyle, Isaac Chansa and Excellent Walaza just to mention but a few.

In the Amakhosi camp are David Mathebula, Thabo Mooki, Siphiwe Mkhonza, Derrick Spencer, David Radebe, Tinashe Nengomasha and Sergio "Mavusana" Djiehoa.

It will be a titanic battle today because both teams have collected nine points from three games played so far.

Both sides have respectable coaches.

The Buccaneers are under the watchful eye of Papi Khomane while Chiefs have put their faith in the expertise of Donald "Ace'' Khuse.

Fixtures: Moroka Swallows v Benoni Premier United (Germiston); Mamelodi Sundowns v Jomo Cosmos (Caledonian); Bidvest Wits v SuperSport United (Milpark).
