After leaving TS Records in a huff last month, multiple-award-winning artist Ntando is now the proud owner of his own recording label, Bornfire Entertainment, which he intends to turn into a big success.

The likeable Eastern Cape musician was quick to dismiss as hogwash talk that he had joined Ghetto Ruff Records.

Ntando, who left TS Records together with Brown Dash last month, has scooped major awards in the Metro FM and South African Music Awards under the famed TS label, which is owned by Thembinkosi Nciza and DJ Sbu.

"I have established my own recording company today and I'm determined to make it an empire in terms of recording more musicians," Ntando said yesterday.

"There have been rumours that I have joined Ghetto Ruff Records and I have been denying these rumours. I hope my announcement today of my own label will put the claims to rest. I have started a new life for myself as a businessman and artist, and I'm keen to work hard to succeed.

"I can't be seen to be doing the same thing every day. There was a need for change in my life and it happened," he said.

He said he was working on a new album for his own label with his producer, Gama.

He said he and Gama had worked on seven tracks of the new album, which is expected to be released in July.

Ntando said he would soon record other artists for his label but would not say who they would be.

With his talent, he is sure to realise his dream.
