The French car maker Peugeot is replacing its popular 206 cabriolet coupe (CC) with the new 207 CC model.

The new electric folding roof for the 207 CC has been designed 100percent in-house and is the result of Peugeot's expertise in the design and manufacture of coupe cabriolets.

The new 207 CC launched in the UK in three engines. These are the 1,6litre petrol engine, the 1,6litre turbo-charged petrol engine and the1,6 HDi diesel engine.

It is still not clear if Peugeot South Africa will bring in all these engine derivatives when they launch here at a later date.

Five air bags, three of which have been designed specially for the 207 CC, are fitted as standard on all models.

Consisting of two adaptive front air bags, two "head-chest" side air bags located in the side of the front seats and a steering column air bag designed to protect the driver's lower limbs, these provide further protection for the occupants of the vehicle.
