New dope in the fields
Police in KwaZulu- Natal have discovered three foreign species of the dagga plant.
Police discovered fields of cultivated dagga last week on the premises of a potting soil producer in Cato Ridge, Durban, when they raided the premises during a drug-bust operation.
Police spokesman Muzi Mngomezulu said three of the four species of plants did not appear to be indigenous and had been sent for laboratory analysis.
He said police made one arrest and seized dagga worth more than R3million.
