Two East London men were arrested at the weekend for abducting and robbing Calvin Rodney Zitzke, 42, of Kwelera Mouth.
They allegedly took Zitzke to the East London suburb of Quigney on Friday night and locked him in a room until the next morning.
They allegedly forced him to withdraw cash from ATMs in East London.
Zitzke escaped when his abductors tried to force him to buy a cellphone with his credit card.
He reported his abduction to the police, who arrested both men.
They will appear in the East London magistrates' court today .
